The Five Crowns’ participation in the American Liver Foundation’s annual fund-raiser had special meaning for executive chef Dennis Brask, whose brother, David, recently lost his life to liver cancer.
At the foundation’s invitation, Dennis courageously spoke to the more than 300 guests about his brother’s life and battle against the disease. The Five Crowns was among 27 restaurants that helped prepare and serve dinner for the foundation’s “Flavors of Orange County” benefit.

We’re glad so many guests choose to celebrate their birthdays with us! At Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Beverly Hills, Myra Lurie and Joan Lurie Farb threw a unique “make your own hat” birthday luncheon for their mom.
Modeling their creations are the birthday girl, Bess Lurie, and friends Rebecca Goldman and Leona Goldstein. At the Five Crowns, dining room server Maggie Power’s mother, Mammy, celebrated her 90th birthday with her family, some of whom traveled from Canada for the party.

Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Las Vegas, partnered with its city’s nation-ally acclaimed youth theater group, Rainbow Company, to host a benefit featuring the performance of an original musical.
The sold-out evening aided Rainbow Company to continue bringing its theater training program and performances to community elementary and junior high schools.

“Cavalia,” a multimedia spectacular featuring 50 horses, acrobats, and aerialists, came to Dallas last spring and set up its 100-foot-tall big top right next door to Lawry’s The Prime Rib.
We partnered with Cavalia to offer a dinner-and-show package many of our guests enjoyed, and also had a drawing for two tickets.
