GREAT NEWS FOR ALL of you who miss Lawry’s California Center! Lawry’s is now catering private events at the Los Angeles River and Garden Center, formally known as Lawry’s California Center.
Maintained by the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, the River Center displays important exhibits about the L.A. River’s natural and human history and houses various non-profit organizations. Yet it retains the unique character that made the “old” California Center a beloved gathering spot for people from all over the city and a mandatory stop for tourists visiting Southern California.
You’ll recognize the original Early California style buildings, courtyards and bell tower.
Much of what you remember about the California Center is still there, from the grand ficus tree out front to the beautiful gardens within the tall ivy covered walls.
