Looking at Lawry's

Spreading the Love Around

Thanks to our guests for their generous contributions during our April fundraising efforts.

For many years, during April, all the Lawry’s restaurants have contributed donations from generous guests along with matching funds from the company to AbilityFirst. The Los Angeles based charity, originally created by Lawry’s founder Lawrence L. Frank and fellow Rotary Club members in 1926, helps people with disabilities achieve their best.

This year, we “spread the love around”. For the first time, the three Lawry’s The Prime Rib restaurants outside Southern California have directed their donations and matching funds to similar charitable groups in their own cities.

In Chicago, we’ve partnered with the ninety-eight-year-old non-profit Misericordia/Heart of Mercy. Our Dallas restaurant leant their support to The Warren Center, while Opportunity Village received a substantial contribution from Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Las Vegas. Our Beverly Hills Lawry’s, the Tam O’Shanter, Five Crowns and Lawry’s Carveries continued our longtime relationship with AbilityFirst.

Altogether, Lawry’s collected and distributed more than $58,000. We want to thank our co-workers for their efforts and especially our guests whose donations benefited these important organizations.
