After 75 years of service, Lawry’s The Prime Rib was recognized by the mayor of Beverly Hills as a community institution with an official holiday.
AT A RECEPTION following the Lawry’s The Prime Rib Price Rollback Event, Beverly Hills Mayor John Mirisch, accompanied by L.A. Councilman Tom LaBonge, declared June 11 Lawry’s Day in recognition of “75 years of superb food, outstanding service, and warm hospitality.”
Noting the restaurant’s historic significance and popularity, the mayor commended its Workplace Literacy Program and sponsorship of the city’s Volunteer Recognition Luncheon among many other local activities.

Board Chairman Emeritus Richard N. Frank, commented on the Lawry’s Day honor saying, “We’re proud to receive this special recognition from the city where Lawry’s The Prime Rib started. We look forward to our continued participation in the economic and civic life of this thriving community.”
