New Tam Patio Opens with “Pub & Patio Faer”

On May 7th, excitement was in the air on the corner of Boyce Ave. and Los Feliz Blvd. in Atwater Village. The lighting bolt on the chimney was illuminated at last. The fireplace glowed. Strings of festoon lights shined overhead. The Patio at the Tam O’Shanter was open and buzzing!

Word got out quickly. Ever since that first night, the new space, including a beautifully landscaped garden, has been drawing guests looking for a fun outdoor place to have lunch during the week or linger into the evening with dinner and drinks. It’s been gratifying to hear from many of them that the new Patio feels like it has always been there.

You’ll enjoy the food and drink as much as the atmosphere.

The newly curated Pub & Patio menu offers some already popular dishes. In addition to our traditional Prime Rib sandwich and Tam Burger, you’ll find the delicious, lightly fried Crispy Chicken Breast topped with jalapeno coleslaw on a brioche bun and an especially satisfying Veggie Burger made with black beans, beets and carrots. We also feature a variety of salads and plates along with “Odds, Sods and Sides” like Scotch Rarebit and Tempura Green Beans.

Of course, for many, libations are the first order of business. On that score, the Tam never disappoints. We’ve long been known for our great wine program, outstanding craft beers and an extensive selection of spirits, appropriately featuring a vast list of Scotch whiskeys that’s a treat for both the neophyte and the connoisseur.

In addition, we’ve created a couple of Sharable Cocktails that are bound to become signature drinks. You won’t forget your first sight—or your first sip—of the Giant Moscow Mule. A gallon of the tasty vodka, ginger beer and lime beverage comes in a huge copper mug and serves four to six.

Tam General Manager John Lindquist had an inspired moment when he came up with the Tam’s Tea Service. As the menu says, “Our English porcelain tea service contains no tea—just strong drink!” Think Prohibition era: Grandma’s favorite teapot and teacups, disguising something that promises a most memorable “tea party.”

Along with weekday Happy Hour 4 to 7, we don’t want to forget to mention that the Patio is dog friendly, so your canine buddy can have a good time too.
