In a special contest for Lawry’s Rewards Platinum VIP members, a mother and son win a dinner for two at the Lawry’s Beef Bowl.

Lawry’s Rewards Platinum VIP Kerry Ryerson and her son Sean share a deep connection with us. Sean got his job at DIRECTV eight years ago through AbilityFirst, the non-profit started by our founder Lawrence Frank in 1926 to help children and adults with disabilities.

Every April, Kerry has dinner with us to support the Prime Rib’s AbilityFirst matching fund drive. The rest of the year—whether celebrating a birthday or just spending nights out with friends—the two make the 40-mile round trip between their Redondo Beach home and Beverly Hills so often they’ve become part of the Lawry’s family.

Last December, Kerry was excited when she opened her email to find an invitation from us. For the first time, lucky Platinum VIPs would have a chance to win dinner for two at our nationally famous Lawry’s Beef Bowl. She returned the online form and a few days later learned she was a drawing winner.

When the moment arrived, our Platinum VIP Concierge Faith Gilbert welcomed a beaming Kerry and Sean to an evening of delicious prime rib and fun with the USC Trojans, the press, Tournament of Roses officials and the Queen and Court.

We’re sure this mother and son will always remember that very special event—and we’ll always remember them.
