Prime Rib, The “Classics” and So Much More

The cover of the new menu at our Los Angeles restaurant says it all: “Classic Dining, Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Beverly Hills.”

Open it to find our traditional Prime Rib Dinner—with your choice of cut, carved tableside and served from our silver carts, Spinning Bowl Salad, mashed potatoes, horseradish and Yorkshire pudding—still front and center. As always, the Creamed Spinach and Creamed Corn you love will be offered from the cart along with a new “cart side,” mashed Sweet Potatoes.

You’ll also discover more ways than ever before to enjoy the Lawry’s experience.

Feel like having just a slice of prime rib and a glass of wine? For the first time, you can order prime rib “a la carte”—that is, by itself, not to be confused with the complete dinner served from the cart.

Now, you don’t have to wait for that “prime rib craving” to dine again at your favorite restaurant. You can choose from our take on classic steaks and chops like Filet Mignon, Lawry’s Prime Ribeye, Prime New York Strip or Prime Porterhouse. And, our new menu offers some delicious alternatives to beef like Crispy Roasted Chicken, the Grilled Fish of the Day and Salmon Rockefeller, a variation on another classic, Oysters Rockefeller.

Any vegetarians or vegans in the crowd? We’ll make them happy with seasonal vegetable “steaks” like the Thick-Cut Cauliflower Steak and many new veggie sides, including Sautéed Spinach, Grilled Summer Squash and Roasted Heirloom Carrots.

With three new salads on the menu, our Famous Spinning Bowl Salad might have a little competition. We’ve brought back the Westside, a version of the Canlis restaurant salad originally served at our company’s Westside Broiler on Restaurant Row in the 1970s and ‘80s. The House Wedge—baby iceberg topped with blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, bacon and a unique and tasty combo of blue cheese and Lawry’s Vintage dressings—just might become a classic in its own right. Rounding out the list is a salad featuring the freshest vegetables of the season.

It’ll be hard to decide between more than a half dozen tantalizing appetizers like Grilled Artichoke and ‘60s era favorites Crudités with Green Goddess Dip and Lobster and Shrimp Louis Cocktail. Newcomers like the Blue Cheese-Stuffed Heirloom Tomato, Multi-Grain Pilaf and Mac & Cheese are just some of the other new accompaniments that will tempt your palate. And be sure to save room for dessert. C.C. Brown’s Hot Fudge Sundae anyone?
